For me, competing and staying lean, particularly as a naturally larger person, has meant a lifestyle change and a long-term commitment to my health. To succeed, I know I have to focus 100% on my training and even harder on what goes in my mouth.

The importance of good nutrition should never be underrated. Good nutrition is the biggest key to transforming your physique. However, this shouldn’t mean missing out on great food. You don’t have to feel hungry— ever. If you do, you are probably going about the whole nutrition thing the wrong way. I can tell you that I eat so much food, I am never hungry, but I still manage my weight and even, when I need to, lose it by following a few simple rules. With a little understanding of how food affects your body, you are much more in control of your diet and your body shape.
